Kickingball: Liga Universitaria promueve masificación de la disciplina
El Kickingball llegó a Venezuela en 1965, a través de las empresas petroleras
Caracas 13 de marzo de 2023. 200 atletas femeninas distribuidas en 10 equipos de adultos y niños conforman la Liga Universitaria de Kickingball del estado Bolívar y la misma tiene su sede en el Centro Total de Entretenimiento de Cachamay. Así lo informó Yosghler Romero, presidente de la asociación de kickingballde la entidad.
Romero aseguró que una de las misiones de esta liga es la masificación deportiva de la disciplina en una entidad donde el fútbol es tradición. Sin embargo, entre las féminas el kickingball ha logrado mucho auge.
La liga universitaria de kickingball se desarrolla desde el mes de febrero y es considerada pionera en la especialidad. Aunque la liga está en pleno desarrollo e inicios, ya hay un torneo de kickingball que tiene 25 años de vida y ha logrado mantener activas a las atletas y formar a las nuevas generaciones.
Yosghler Romero explicó que la liga se rige por los lineamientos de la Federación Venezolana de Kickingball y han contado con el apoyo del gobierno bolivariano, a través de las autoridades deportivas, para el desarrollo de la disciplina en todo el estado Bolívar.
El kickingball llegó a Venezuela en 1965, introduciéndose a través de las empresas petroleras y se practicó solo en institutos de educación privados. Con el paso de los años esta especialidad deportiva se ha expandido desde las instituciones educativas a la práctica masiva en todo el país con especial acción en el sector empresarial.
